A grower/processor may obtain seeds or immature medical cannabis plants from outside of this state for the purpose of securing its start-up inventory. Seeds or immature medical cannabis plants obtained from outside of this State shall be obtained within 30 days from the date that the bureau determines that the grower/processor is operational.
Industrial Hemp
W. Va. Code. §§ 19-12E-1 to 19-12E-9 (2017)
- Allows hemp production for commercial purposes by growers licensed by the West Virginia Commissioner of Agriculture.
- Growers must use seeds which produce plants containing less than 1 percent THC.
